Once again the tradition continues!  For several years the CLs and CMs of the Pregnancy & Parenting Team have had a Community Leader Ornament Exchange (CLOE) during the Holiday Season. 

 Many thanks to CATHY (cl-redcows) for organizing this year's CLOE!

To participate (or if you have any questions), send an email to: cloe@redcowz.com.  Please include the following information:

Your name
Your iVillage CL screenname
What board(s) you CL
Your email address
Your mailing address (where a package can be received)
Your preferred theme/color scheme for an ornament or gift
Holiday you celebrate
 
Please note:  most people will send an ornament, unless you celebrate a non-Christmas tree holiday.  Please indicate in your email if you do not celebrate Christmas or put up a tree (or if your tree is so full that another ornament might make it topple!) so that your buddy can shop or create appropriately.

  • Rule #2: Honor and Respect. We're doing this on the honor system so if you find you can't meet your commitment, respect your buddy and let us know.

    How much to spend: $20 including shipping

    Sign-up Deadline:  November 1 - we're getting a late start on this and we want people to have plenty of time to ship their packages - especially if they have to go out of the country.

    Match-up Date: November 5

    Send packages by: November 28     Please mail earlier if possible (again, especially if you are mailing out of the country), last year it took a very long time for some packages to arrive! It's a good idea to get delivery confirmation.


    Once you are assigned an exchange buddy...
     
    Go shopping or get busy creating! (I love that part!) Then, wrap it and send it off (be sure to include something that identifies who you are INSIDE). Make sure that your return address on the package doesn't give you away!  It's supposed to be a surprise!  Watch for your package to arrive. But you DON'T get to open it...not until our designated chat or opening day (details to be determined)! 

    The Secret Santa part of our exchange is optional but it, too, is a lot of fun. In the past, we've used Secret Santa-type member names to post hints on the team board, but that is hard to do since we can't log into the team board without our CL names.  You could set up a free email account and email hints about who you are to your buddy or other little greetings, etc.  This gives them a chance to see if they can guess who their package is coming from.  But you don't have to do this part, if you feel uncomfortable with it. You can also visit your exchange buddy's board and post hints using your Secret Santa membername. We just want you to have fun!
