Did you know that our average work week is longer
than that of previous generations? Americans
work the longest hours
among industrialized countries.
Working more means we sacrifice our time in other ways. I know time with my
family can be diminished due to work. This isn’t to say work isn’t important
-- it keeps us productive and brings home ‘the bacon.’ Parents that stay at
home with their children work to keep the family healthy and strong. We do
need to find a balance between work and play, some time to enjoy our family
time.
I was
thrilled to find the Family Time Calendar, one of our newer features at
Pregnancy & Parenting. The calendar has great ideas for every day of the year
including mom-friendly meals, fun crafts and family outings. Spend some time
getting to know your family and acting like a kid again --

Magazines:
Splurge vs. Steal?
In the game of splurge vs. steal, the competition is fierce. In one corner,
the most luxurious fabrics, richest colors and "investment accessories" and in
the other, the low-commitment way to own this season's best trends.
Winner-take-all question: Can you tell the difference?
