Taking care of a parent
can be a difficult thing, both physically and emotionally. As I have been
getting older, so have my parents. Thoughts of caring for a parent have
in recent years turned into reality. It is difficult having the tables
turned – your mom used to take care of you and now she needs your help.
It is important to be sure that if you are taking care of an adult family
member, whether a parent or sibling, that you find time for yourself as to
not become overwhelmed.
